Here we are with a new wedding season and my first wedding blog this year. Wow, right?! :)

With my family at home, I took a slow start to the year, which was totally okay with me. However, I am so excited to finally be in full swing with my work! I have been selective about the couples I have chosen to work with this year, and Matthew and Christina were one of them. These two have been so kind and sincere since their first email to me that I knew this one would be an amazing day. And I was right!

I met up with Christina at her parent's beautiful home in Loudonville to get the day started. Then we headed off to Albany for their wedding, which was a traditional Catholic wedding - more traditional than I have ever experienced (Traditional Latin Rite). Their priest was from Argentina (and the story goes that Matthew taught him the English language!) and a lot of the ceremony was in Latin. It was beautiful and very touching.

Next up was River Stone Manor for the reception - one of my favorite venues. I got married there too, nine years ago (wow!!)

I had the pleasure of working with Jessalyn and Josh of Jessalyn Meehan Films (you guys are fabulous!) and was very grateful to my friend-tographer Jennifer Moak who second shot for me. I am not going to lie, I was beyond excited when I saw Steve Simboli at the reception DJ-ing for Music Man Entertainment (dude, you are awesome!). Such a fun day! 

Matthew and Christina, I had such an amazing time with you and your families. I loved the stories during the ceremony and the speeches - hearing so much about what you both have done and accomplished gave me an even greater respect for you both.
