Our first wedding of the 2014 is officially on the blog! Ashley and Paolo had an amazing day; you are going to love these images!
I first want to share an image from their Engagement Session with us last year. We met up with them in Lake George on a very hot, humid summer day. It was so much fun! We had to postpone their session more than once because of rain, but we finally just decided to go for it rain or shine! Here is one of my favorites from their session.
Let's talk about the wedding! :) Both Ashley and Paolo had a great group of people in their wedding party AND amazing families. It was a fun day, and I felt like we fit right in.
The week prior called for threats of rain for that Saturday, so Ashley and I prepared for it with umbrellas and a couple of back up plans. Thankfully, the rain didn't start really coming down until we were on our way to the Franklin Plaza for the reception.
Here's a few of the pro's that helped to make this day special:
Hair: Tips In Toga (Jessica Armer)
Makeup: Color Bar Studio
Bridal Gown: Angela's Bridal
Men's Attire: Pat's Men's Shop Formalwear and Tailoring
Floral Arrangements: Central Market Florist
Ceremony Venue: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church
Reception Venue: Franklin Plaza Ballroom
Reception Music: Cool Cat Entertainment (Steve and Nick)
Wedding Cake: Villa Italia
We started off our day with Ashely and her girls getting ready at her mother's house. Check out some of the details....
Ashley got all of her bridesmaids this beautiful gift - loved it!
By the way, this is Ilma, she is one of Paolo's sweet sisters. They are a great group of people. Ilma will be making another cameo appearance later in the blog... :)
Time to get ready! Love this shot of Ashley and her mom!
None of the bridesmaids had seen Ashley's dress yet, so we did a little reveal with them. Love this shot!
Gorgeous!
Not my usual style, but I love how this one came out!
Off to the church to tie the knot!
Ashley's mother is a music teacher and a very good flutist!
Congrats you two!
After some family shots at the church, we headed off to Union College for photos.
Photobomb! Told you Ilma would be back. Love these! :)
Goofballs. :)
Gorgeous Ashley!
Storm clouds were rolling in!
Just as we left for Franklin Plaza it downpoured! But, Mother Nature was kind to us, and held off for a few quick moments so we could get to the roof for a couple more shots.
We met up with Nick and Steve of Cool Cat for the reception. They were such a blast to work with!
Franklin Plaza looked amazing that night!
Franklin Plaza now has sparklers that go off when the bride and groom are introduced. Love it!
Cool Cat always does what is called a Party-Starter dance. This crowd was easy - lots of people on the floor!
:)
Love Ashley's dance with dad while mom looks on in the background.
The rest of the night was a blast, and I could seriously go on and on with this blog, but I'm just going to share a couple more and then save the rest for Ashley and Paolo to share.
This photo of is Paolo's grandparents. Such awesome people!
This guy has some serious moves.
One last shot of Ashley and Paolo. Congrats again guys; thank you so much for trusting us to capture your special day!
Ashley and Paolo will have a full gallery of their images available through the VIP section of our website soon.
Please feel free to post a comment and leave some love for this couple!
Thanks for visiting our blog!
