Meg and Ben's wedding is a blog I've been excited to share for a long time now! They were such a fun couple to work with, and the day was amazing! Meg and Ben tied the knot at the very beautiful Pruyn House in Latham. Mother Nature was on our side that day and we were blessed with an amazing day! There are so many beautiful spots at the Pruyn House, I could shoot there for days and not be bored.
We started off our day meeting Meg and her girls getting ready at The Century House. Then, we headed over to The Pruyn House where Meg and Ben had their first look and portraits prior to their Ketubah Signing and ceremony. This is something I highly recommend to all of our couples! Not only can it be a bit of a tension reliever before the ceremony, BUT it gives us the opportunity to spend some quality time taking photos of the bride and groom without having to feel rushed between the ceremony and reception to get everything done. We got a lot of beautiful photos at Meg and Ben's wedding, so sit back and relax - we've got a lot to share with you! :)
We had the pleasure of working with wedding planner Michelle Dischiavo of Intuition Event Coordination and Design - she was amazing! Not only did she do the decorating and did set up at the Pruyn House, but also the flowers. Everything was top notch!
There was a bit of a New Orleans theme to this wedding, and we were serenaded by Swing Band Don Scanlon's Rythm Boys during dinner and the reception; Meg's Dad played a little for us, her sister sang and another family member came up during the night to sing. Such a talented family!! And definitely a fun night!
OK, let's get this blog started with some gorgeous details:
Love this moment!
Beautiful, happy bride!
First look time...
Love this angle with their families looking on.
I think I must say this in every blog - but this is the benefit of having two photographers. Both Ed and I caught the same moment at the same time, and check out the different emotions in these next two. Just love it!
After the first look we explored the grounds of the Pruyn House with Meg and Ben. These two were naturals in front of the camera, and it was easy to see how in love they were. I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for the blog, so get comfortable - we have a lot of great stuff here!
Yep, she's gorgeous Ben! :)
I feel like he is looking at her saying: "Wow, you're about to be my wife. I'm so lucky!"
We could have kept shooting for hours, but we decided to take a little break and do some stuff with the bridal party and family. They are important too! Here's a couple favorites from the bridal party. Stunning!
OK, one more of Meg and Ben before heading off to the Ketubah Signing and ceremony!
Gorgeous!
I love this shot of Ben putting the ring on Meg hand's while his parents look on proudly!
It's official!! Married!!
The dinner and reception spaces were set up so beautifully.
Instead of a traditional cake, Meg and Ben went with pies - all of which I believe they baked themselves. YUM!!!!
There were lots of great moments during the reception. I love this shot of Meg's dad playing just before dinner was served.
This was a super fun way to end the night!
I could go on and on with this blog, but I'll end with these two photos. Congrats again Meg and Ben! Your day was amazing and we loved sharing in it!! Thanks for trusting us to capture the day!
Meg and Ben will have an online gallery set up soon through the VIP section of our website. Make sure you check in with them if you want to see more of their images.
Oh, and hey, while you're here, why not write a post and leave some love for this wonderful couple?!?! :)

Barbara Cassara - What fabulous pictures! The one of Mimi kissing Meg before the wedding is a real tearjerker! I love the shoes and rings pics as well. Beautiful wedding. Of course, Emilie was adorable.
Congrats to a beautiful couple!
