On our way to Jodie and Kyle's wedding, I was hearing warnings for tornados on the weather channel. First thought I had: we could get some really amazing photos today with these guys! Jodie and Kyle were up for pretty much anything, so I was excited for what we could capture!
We have really enjoyed getting to know Jodie and Kyle throughout this year; first at their friend's Chris and Jade's wedding and then later on in the year for their Engagement Session with their awesome dog Lennon. It is always great getting to know our couples before the big day!
The dark clouds were just starting to roll in when we arrived at The Glen Sanders Mansion. Jodie was getting her final touches with hair and makeup from the very talented crew of ladies from A&Co Salon and wow did she look amazing!! We had just enough time to capture some details so we could head down and meet Kyle for the first look.
Let's get started with the details. Beautiful stuff here!
Gorgeous bride!
First look time. I love these two photos.
Right about this time the storm was starting so we headed inside to get some photos of the bridal party.
Then we decided to go out and play in the rain!
I love these next few - thanks guys for being so adventurous in the pouring rain!
Once we were done with portraits and headed in to get ready for the ceremony, the rain stopped... Of course! So we took advantage and grabbed this one.
Before the ceremony was the Ketubah signing; so cool to be a part of this!
These guys did something very unique during the ceremony. Not only did they write their own vows, but when reading them, they whispered them to each other so that only they could hear. It was such a moving moment!
This was right when they were pronounced husband and wife. Love this! Saving the first kiss photo for them to see first. ;)
Amazing sunset after the ceremony!
Reception time!! The band Grove Place was on hand rocking it - they were awesome!!
There were some really fun intros to the reception. I'd love to post them all, but for now, I'll just share two favorites.
Kyle and Jodie really know how to throw a party. There are so many great reception candids! Here are some of our favorites.
Posting this one as a shout out to my friends the Houtz family. We loved being a part of your weddings in June and November! Stay tuned for another blog from this wonderful crew! You guys have been awesome! And thank you for introducing us to the amazing Jodie and Kyle!
One last reception photo and one of my favorites from the day! Jodie and Kyle, congratulations again! We had an amazing time being a part of your day! (and now that you're at the end of the blog, why not leave a comment and give this amazing couple a congrats!)
