I've been excited about blogging bout Seth and Allison since the day we met them!!

Back in 2011 when Allison first reached out to me about her fall Lake Placid wedding, I was super excited. Not only was it going to be our first time shooting a wedding in Lake Placid; something I've been wanting to do for a while, but easily through email, I could see how sweet Allison was and I felt like we clicked right away. Lake Placid + amazing couple = photographer's dream!

When I mentioned getting together to discuss their wedding in person, we met a little bit of a roadblock. See, while Allison is originally from upstate NY, her and Seth have been living in Chicago. So a meeting might have been tough, but conveniently enough, it was right around the time that Ed and I had an already planned trip the Chicago area to visit my baby brother and his family, so it kind of just worked out.

I was so glad we met although I have to admit, I was a little nervous at first! Ed and I had just finished the very long drive from NY to Illinois, we had our two dogs in tow, we both were a little under the weather and I have to confess, probably a little scary looking from lack of sleep! However, it didn't deter this amazing couple! We chatted with them over coffee for quite some time discussing details of their wedding weekend. Allison had a lot of great ideas going into her planning; and they all panned out perfectly. 

Back in June we met up with Allison and her mom up in Lake Placid to discuss some ideas for locations to shoot on their wedding day. Turned out that Allison's mom is just as sweet as her! I couldn't wait to get to the wedding and meet both families - I knew they were going to be lots of fun!

OK, so let's get to these photos! 

The night before Seth and Allison's wedding, we came up to Lake Placid and met them for an impromptu photo shoot. What fun!! We were laughing and joking the entire time - these two make our jobs way too easy! After the photo shoot we headed over to the Lake Placid Olympic Center where Seth and Allison had planned a curling challenge. It was a blast!

It was getting dark quickly, but I didn't mind the mood it created!
